I went on 3/26 for the first time and I ordered the catfish dinner with 2 sides and also got a side of green beans. My 2 sides were the Mac and cheese and the yams. This catfish is absolutely perfect. Nice and crispy has a lot of flavor and it’s big pieces. Whenever I eat catfish usually I will need tartar sauce or some sort of sauce but not this one it’s absolutely delicious probably the best catfish I have ever had. Their green beans were really good had lots of flavor just wish it was less liquid but their yams OMG absolutely delicious I devoured it in minutes. The only thing that was disappointing was the Mac and cheese I was really excited for some good Mac and cheese but this Mac and cheese had no flavor and it was dry. The corn bread was also good. I will 100% be coming back cause their food was worth the price and it was absolutely delicious. I want to try their smothered pork chop one day but idk if anything can beat that catfish.

I Luv this place, tlk about it all the time an want food from here every chance I get! THIS IS MY FAV SPOT IN TTWN! 10/10 RECOMMEND! I ATE HERE 3X LAST WK. I Hope this Location stays open! They have a nice spot, plenty of parking an seating. Shrimp boil is a must try the flavor is amazing!

You must go.My son and I found this by happenstance and so glad we did. We were greeted with a warm welcome. Very friendly at the counter. Got the shrimp boil and it was so flavorful, but not overpoweringly spicy. Perfect! The Mac was excellent and next time we will try the soul food items from the hot bar. Not a fancy place. Prices were reasonable. They have specials all the time and Thursdays are college night (I think).Check these folks out. I am a food writer and I was impressed.

THIS is a restaurant you have to check out while in Tuscaloosa! It’s located inside of University Mall. You have several menu selections to serve from- anywhere from soul food to Shrimp boils to hamburgers! And they also have a hot bar ready to order from. The owner has a beautiful personality and my experience with the servers and staff was great also. Check them out!

I'm in town working from Georgia. Georgia is well known for it's soul food restaurants. Let me tell you this place is soul food. I ordered baked chicken collard greens yams a side of small gizzards which was plenty and delicious Will definitely be back again and recommend anyone to try this restaurant The staff was amazingly courteous and their customer service is above and beyond Thank you guys for the experience.... Flava Seafood & Soul Food is an excellent place to eat and family, friendly environment. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! It is an eatery that I will definitely visit when I visit T-Town again!

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious and filling meal here on a Thursday night at around 6:30pm. We were looking for a meat and 3 type meal and this hit the spot. We ate hamburger steak, collards, baked chicken, fried okra, Mac n cheese, and cornbread. Everything was delicious!!! The staff was super welcoming and kind. We will be back!
